At the heart of UNDP Uganda’s programmes and projects are the people who make them happen.

UNDP Uganda values its talented and dynamic staff, who contribute their expert perspectives and approaches to finding long lasting development solutions for, and with, the people of Uganda.

The Human Resources (HR) Unit is responsible for providing and nurturing personnel support to the UNDP Uganda Country Office.

From the preparation of Terms of Reference and vacancy announcements to recruitment and issuance of contract, the HR department maintains the highest standards to ensure that the best individual for the job is selected.

The unit regularly evaluates performance and assesses individual training and/or learning needs, while maintaining an up-to-date database of all project personnel, custody, and filing of individual contracts.

HR in Uganda regularly supports training of project staff on all aspects of project management and on UNDP’s and donors' management arrangements for executing projects.

Through its staff, UNDP Uganda continues to share specialized development knowledge, to advance the human development dialogue, and to advocate for the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals for all Ugandans.
