HOW WE DO BUSINESS

The implementation of the Country Office’s projects and activities is supported and facilitated by a dedicated technical and logistical section, otherwise known as ‘Operations’.

The Operations team maintains a client-oriented approach and remains consistent with UNDP’s corporate standard rules and regulations, while fostering the practice of good and effective management in the delivery of services to programmes, projects and partners. Priorities for Operations include: cost-effectiveness, quality and timely delivery of services, and support to the overall performance of the Country Office programmes.

Additionally, the team ensures close coordination and collaboration with the other UN agencies on operational issues through monthly UN OMT meetings, and promotes - to the extent possible - harmonization of business processes and efforts towards ‘delivering as One’ at the Uganda country level.

Services covered by this section include administration of human resources, procurement, shipping, logistics, travel, protocol, financial services, security, information technology, and general services such as the management of a UN Dispensary.
